HR Survival Skills

COURSE OVERVIEW:  
Human Resources issues seem to be everywhere in the workplace today.  Many of these issues are confusing, complex and fraught with potential liability.  County supervisors encounter them in the midst of scheduling, assigning and evaluating the work of their employees.  They need to know how to recognize a Human Resources issue, how to respond to it and when to turn to HR for help and advice.  This course includes a resource guide.

  • This workshop will give supervisors practical tips and forms to help them do their part to apply key techniques and principles to minimize liability and conflict.
  • It covers basice steps a supervisor can take to prevent discrimination, harassment and sexual harassment issues.
  • Details the important steps that supervisors can take to prevent law suits, claims and make the environment a great place to work.
