COURSE OVERVIEW: The New Employee Orientation Program has been designed to provide an employee with general information and an understanding of the County of Riverside and its goals. Orientation involves starting the new employee in the right direction. This program will expose the employee to the norms, values, work procedures, and patterns of behavior and dress that are expected in the County of Riverside. Once an employee has received a general orientation from Human Resources it is recommended that the new employee’s supervisor give a more job-specific orientation.

TRAINING OBJECTIVES:
After attending New Employee Orientation the County employee should be able to:
- Locate general information provided in the New Employee Handbook.
- Locate and describe the five policies covered during the orientation process.
- Compare and complete their benefits paperwork within the sixty-day period.
- Define their responsibility as it relates to Safety within the County of Riverside.
