COURSE OVERVIEW:  
This class is designed to improve employees’ comfort in dealing with people with disabilities and to provide a basic understanding of our obligations as a government entity to this sector of the public.  The class defines nondiscrimination in the context of equal opportunity and equal access. It familiarizes the participant with County of Riverside procedures and policies designed to provide equal access to people with disabilities. It includes information on specific disabilities, and provides suggestions, information and procedures to assist County employees in accommodating special needs.
